It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #1

"It's Monday! What Are You Reading?" is a weekly event, hosted by Book Journey that spotlights what we're currently reading, recently finished and plan to read next.

Read Last Week

I enjoyed both Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder (YA dystopia) and Dragon Bound be Thea Harrison (paranormal romance). Both are the first in their series and I can't wait to read the sequels.

Currently Reading

I've started A Courtesan's Guide to Getting Your Man by Celeste Bradley and Susan Dovovan (ARC for goodreads). I love it but there's no way I'm reading it in public so I'm also reading The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong. I haven't started that one yet but my bookmark is in it so close enough.

To Read Soon

I received an ARC of Original Sin by Beth McMullen from the publisher that I want to read very soon. I hope it's fun, the cover makes it look that way. I'm also hoping to read The Vampire Dimitri by Coleen Gleason very soon which I got from netgalley. I'd actually planned on reading it instead of The Gathering but I just got that from the library and there's a wait list so I want to hurry that along.

Soooo... what are you reading? Share your link or whatever in the comments!

  1. I finished ten books this week which actually surprises me because I hardly did any reading during my usual fun reading time. Come see what I finished.

  2. I love Kelley Armstrong. The Gathering is good but I think I prefer her Women of the Otherworld series.

  3. I really want to read The Gathering. I really like Kelley Armstrongs writing. The Vampire Dimitri looks really good too. Looking forward to your reviews.

    My progress for last week:

  4. This comment has been removed by the author.

  5. I received a review copy of Original Sin as well. It's great, I thought so anyway.

  6. INSIDE OUT is something that I'll have to pick up when I've whittled my TBR pile down a bit. It seems like something I'd love. THE GATHERING was good, just a little slow in some parts. Loved the setting, though!

  7. @Karen
I haven't read anything by her yet. I'll have to read that other series if I enjoy this one!

The Vampire Voss is the first book in the series. I loved it but many people are 'meh' about it. It's considerably darker than most paranormal romance. Often times in books we see the hero classified as a 'rake' or 'manwhore' but once he meets the heroine, he does nothing in character to that classification. Voss, on the other hand, does and I don't think people liked that.

  8. @Jessica ( frellathon )
Awesome! I'm so glad to hear someone enjoyed it. I haven't read anyone else's reviews for it yet so I have no clue what to expect.

    @kaye (paper reader)
Hope you enjoy it when you get a chance! I LOVED it.
