Mmmm, okay. First up this week I received The Paladin by Ken Newman for review. It sounds really interesting, unique too. I don't think I've read anything I can compare it to so I'm excited to get started. I also received Called Home: Two Hearts Answer by Gloria Schumann for review. This is a clean romance. I'm so excited to read it as I actually haven't read much from that subgenre. The summary is a little vague but I've skimmed a few reviews and there seems to be a little suspense thrown in the mix which I always love.

Next I received Hard Spell (Occult Crimes Unit Investigation #1) by Justin Gustainis for review. I'm actually reading this one now (I'm writing this post on Thursday) and it's got the absolute perfect formula for me. Urban fantasy, detective hero, badass male protagonist...

Lastly for review I got Retribution (Dark-Hunter #20) by Sherrilyn Kenyon. What a seriously gorgeous set! I love the Slytherin-feel it gives off with the green and silvery symbols. This will be my very first Sherrilyn Kenyon read (don't hurt me!) I have no idea why I haven't read anything by her sooner but now I really have no excuse.

I won White Witch, Black Curse (Rachel Morgan #7) by Kim Harrison and Never a Gentleman (The Drake's Rakes #2) by Eileen Dreyer ages ago. White Witch, Black Curse is from Carissa at Preternatural Primer, thank you so much! And Never a Gentleman is from Martha at Reviews by Martha's Bookshelf. I love the Rachel Morgan series and can't wait to get reading more of them. I've heard amazing things about Eileen Dreyer's writing but I'm now completely torn about reading this book because I read a spoilery review and found out the 'hero' does one of the very few things I absolutely cannot forgive.

I've wanted this one forever because it sounds awesome and it's set in Maine, I just happen to live there. I'm hoping to use up the rest of my paperbackswap credits soon so I can finally move on.
