If you didn't have a chance to fill out this interview yourself, no worries! You'll get another chance late August for Fall books.
Today we have Alexa from Pages of Forbidden Love visiting us.
A little bit about Alexa: I'm Alexa and I'm a 20 year old college student who has a passion for reading. I enjoy the teen book world as well as adult romance novels. My blog encompasses the best of both!
Check out her blog.
Me: What is one absolute, must read for you this summer?
Alexa: I just recently got a copy of What Happens to Goodbye and it is a must read for me. The reason is that Sarah Dessen is one of my favorite authors. Out of all of the books I have read The Truth About Forever remains to this day in my top five list. If you haven't read a Dessen book yet you must be living under a rock.
Me: What is one book you feel everyone else should be reading this summer?
Alexa: There are a lot of great books out there and I feel that everyone should read Wolfsbane, which is Nightshade's sequel when it comes out in July. The series is the best and it envokes such emotion, at least in me anyways. The second book will have you gasping, crying, and falling in love with new characters at every turn.
Me: There are tons of great looking books coming out this summer. What are some of the summer releases you're looking forward to?
Alexa: The big one that I'm looking forward to is Chain Reaction by Simone Elkeles. I love the Perfect Chemistry series and I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the third book. If you haven't read this series and you love contemporary romance with hot bad boys then you need to pick this one up.
Me: You've got towels, sunscreen and everything else needed for the beach but naturally left some space for a few books. Which books will you be stuffing into your beach bag?
Alexa: This summer I'm going to try to catch up on reading a lot of different series that I have gotten behind on. Some of the top newest books that I have heard are great and have to read are Divergent, Wither, Starcrossed, Blood Magic, as well as plenty of adult romance series that I read.
Me: When you're trying to beat the heat, reading a huge book can be a bummer to have sticking to your skin. Any novella, short story or anthology recommendations?
Alexa: I honestly don't read that many short stories but when I'm in the mood for a shorter read I pick up one of my manga books, such as Black Bird or Vampire Knight because those take about an hour to read.
Me: Almost nothing is better than taking a dip in the pool or ocean on a scorching hot day. Any books you're looking forward to or would recommend to turn sweat to shivers?
Alexa: I really don't read that many spooky books because well horror sort of scares me. I much prefer romance any day of the week.
Me: The summer is usually when the biggest blockbusters are released in theaters. Are there any (past or present) book to film adaptations you're hoping to see?
Alexa: I'm so tired of the book to movie deal. Not every book should be optioned to be made into a movie, plus the books are always better!
Me: If there's anything you want to add...
Alexa: I hope everyone has a great summer and gets plenty of reading done.
Thank you Alexa for stopping by and adding to our TBR lists!
